What does MX record purpose is?
An MX record is essential to the internet’s Domain Name System (DNS). The purpose of an Mail Exchange record is to identify which mail server should receive incoming emails for a given domain name. It does so by matching the email’s recipient address to the Mail Exchange record for that domain name. Once the proper match is found, the email will be sent to the designated mail server. MX records are necessary for the successful delivery of emails, as they provide a simple and reliable way to route emails to the proper server.
